they all take their pick of the litter

amphibians, primates, or amoeba

grey bodies in shredded damage

glycerine cloaked, distilled. brute

hand with brute, final destination

on the table, an eve of the placid.

dissolve by brutality, by this acid,

generously coating a car garage.

they all take their young brides to

their forever homes. the freezers.

and the hang them from the wall.

well behaved filets.

it is happening in god’s suburbia.

and the husbands sleep at night,

to get up the next day, to repeat.

the autumn harvest. sexy meats.
