𝔇𝔬 𝔴𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔱𝔥𝔬𝔲 𝔴𝔦𝔩𝔱 𝔰𝔥𝔞𝔩𝔩 𝔟𝔢 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔴𝔥𝔬𝔩𝔢 𝔬𝔣 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔩𝔞𝔴

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW is a creative writing workshop centering the occult, esoteric, witchy, hermetic, and eerie. Maybe you’re working on a horror novel, or maybe you’re writing love poems to Charles Manson. Maybe you play with Ouija boards on Halloween, or maybe you’re a hardcore satanist. This course will center the nightmarish and macabre, but will explore it in all forms, whether explicitly ghoulish, or buried below the surface of an essay on kittens or whatever.

We’ll experiment with writing activities based on ritual, séance, and possession. We’ll play with paranormal prompts. But most importantly, we’ll give each other actionable feedback on our work in a supportive group environment.

All participants should have at least one piece of poetry or prose, fiction or nonfiction, to workshop with the cohort. It can be complete or still in-progress, and at any level of overall spookiness.

WHAT: four online workshop sessions, occult oriented writing exercises spooky discussions and group feedback.

WHEN: four TUESDAYS in OCTOBER at 8:30pm ET (5:30pm PT). October 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th.

WHERE: zoom.

WHO: all workshops are facilitated by Jonathan Blake Fostar, publisher / editor-in-chief of dream boy book club.

COST: the total tuition for this workshop is $199. Payment plans are available.

Should your plans change or you need to drop out, cancellations will receive a 50% refund  if requested before September 29th, 2026. No refunds can be provided after that date.
